Managements use of fear
and intimidation at Trump Marina resulted in a 175-183 defeat of the

The Company has No
Right to know who is or is not signing cards!
Those cards will go from the person you return them to, to the union
reps, to the National Labor
Relations Board, where they stay until we are certified.
Below
is the UAW signature Card.
Some people will try to tell you that
you are signing away your rights when you sign a union card. See for
yourself, the only thing you are agreeing to is to let the UAW
represent you in Collective Bargaining. We are building our Union, made up
of us, for, us and run by us.There have been some questions
about the dues structure. No dues are paid until 30 days
after we vote "Yes" on our first contract. The dues will
be based on a percentage of wages, since we are tipped employees.
As an example: The UAW represented dealers in Detroit pay about
$28-$38 per month, depending on their status (full-timers part-timers
or on-call ).
> 53% of Union dues stay
with our Local
> 30% goes to the strike
fund (presently $900,000,000)
> 17% goes to the
International for resources necessary to assist our Local

LET'S
ALL HAVE A CONTRACT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Most Common excuses for not signing
a representation card (that I've heard).
1. I don't want to make waves,
cause trouble or get into trouble.
ANSWER: Signing a card helps to keep "waves"
from happening and helps prevent trouble. The sooner a House
petitions, the sooner working conditions are "locked in", preventing
any changes from what you have RIGHT
NOW. After you win your vote
to organize, negotiations begin with what you currently have, not from
scratch as management would have you believe.
2. I want to wait and see.
ANSWER: Waiting can only help
management. There is nothing moral or legal that management can
do to keep us from exercising our rights to organize under Federal and
State laws. However, if campaigns to organize move slowly enough,
management will find ways to slow things down even more and potentially
convince some that there is no real support for organizing, even
when that isn't true.
This site will be updated as
quickly as possible. Anyone can send content for this site, not
everything will be able to be posted, however we can update very
quickly. We can make pages for each house involved in organizing as
well. Your ideas and comments are very welcome. We will make a
page for every casino that wants one; send us whatever content you feel
is appropriate.
